Colonel Stephen William Blount Home
This stately one story home was built in 1839 by noted architect Augustus Phelps for Stephen William Blount.
Blount was the first county clerk of San Augustine County, and was San Augustine's postmaster from 1846 to 1849. He was a fiscal agent for the Confederate States of America, and vice president of the United Confederate Veterans when he died in 1890.
The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
